Beyond that, the Frisco Football League isn't playing ball; no interviews, no clarification about what happened; and no definitive identification of the mystery board member.
A big fumble fumes one woman who wanted to stay anonymous.
"They owe us an explanation as to what happened if they have severed ties," the woman told News 8. "You can have one rotten egg that ruins the brand, but you need to tell the truth, and we need to know how you dealt with the truth… the full truth."
Unofficially, the termination is due to a racial slur. A parent says she wants more answers.
"About black players, yes," she said. "If that is the case of what happened, that's hurtful, because I am black... my son is black... and this guy was on the board."
The mom told us she already had concerns about what she said is a lack of diversity on the board. The league wouldn't answer News 8's question about that, either.
This isn't the FFL's first controversy. In a 2011 pep talk, a coach was caught on camera telling his squad of six- and seven-year-olds to hit their opponents in the face as hard as they could.
They were flag football players. At the time, the Frisco Football League said critics were blowing the sideline speech "out of proportion."
The mother who talked to News 8 about this latest incident said it demands a much more thorough explanation from the board.
"Just tell us what happened. Be truthful and honest," she said. "That's how I can trust them with my kids – because they are coaching my kids."
