Jimmy White's hopes of reaching the World Snooker Championship remain on track after he defeated James Wattana in the first qualifying round.
White, who has lost six World finals, beat Thailand's Wattana, 45, 10-3 in the best-of-19 frames at Ponds Forge in Sheffield on Saturday.
He will play Matthew Selt next.
White, whose last major success came at the 2004 Players' Championship, led 6-3 at the close of play on Friday and took the four frames needed without reply.
Former world number three Wattana gained entry along with Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry via a special invitation from World Snooker.
Selt beat Lyu Chenwei 10-8 to progress, 20-year-old Belgian Luca Brecel defeated Saqib Nasir 10-0, and there were also wins for Nottingham's Michael Holt and China's number three Xiao Guodong.
