coach of Tanzania, Charles Mkwasa, has invited players from TP Mazembe,
South Africa’s PSL and a League Two player in the English fourth tier
as part of his preparation for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier
against Nigeria on September 5.
The team’s spokesman, Boniface Wambura,
told Sports radio Brila FM that Mkwasa has confirmed 29 home-based
players for a one-week home camp, which opened on August 9.
Wambura added that the team will head out
for a 10-day training camp in Turkey where they would be joined by some
overseas-based players.

Congo’s TP Mazembe, Mrisho Ngasa of South Africa’s Free State, Hassan
Sembi also of Santos FC of South Africa and Adi Yussuf of Mansfield Town
in the English League two were all called up for the camp according to
the Tanzania Football Federation.
Wambura said, “Our team is under an
interim coach, Charles Mkwasa. He just took charge of the Tanzanian
players; they’ve been in training in Dar es Salaam and will be here for
about five days or so.
“The team will next head out for Turkey
for about 10 days where they will be joined by four professional and
they are ready for the September 5 match in Dar es Salaam.”
