Gossip column: Garde, Sherwood, Mourinho, Pogba, Moyes, Vieira

Injured Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero was clearly happy with the point his side picked up at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby to top the Premier League. The 27-year-old tweeted:  "Very serious match for all the squad, with a lot of attitude. A point that matters, and much, to hold the top. C'mon, City!"

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, 26, tweeted a photo collage  of the goalless draw, adding: "We got a point in a very tough derby. The atmosphere at Old Trafford was top."
Some newspapers criticised the draw, labelling it boring, but Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, 29, tweeted:  "We always go for the win but a draw was a good result today. I'm sure the next derby at the Etihad will be a great one."
Luis Suarez took to Instagram  to show off the match ball he picked up after netting three for Barcelona in their defeat of Eibar. The 28-year-old wrote: "Very happy Catalans to celebrate my first year with a very important victory ... Thank you all for your support !!!"
It would appear Harry Kane has been granted a holiday after his hat-trick in Tottenham's win at Bournemouth. The 22-year-old tweeted:  "Great result today! Buzzing with the hat-trick!⚽️ Nice little break away with Kate Goodland now."

And finally

A Barnsley fan who had to be rescued by police at the club's Oakwell ground late on Saturday night claims he was trapped in the stadium after falling asleep on the toilet during their defeat to Fleetwood seven hours earlier. (Yorkshire Post)
