Three clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League are currently
believed to be in battle to secure a shirt sponsorship deal from
Eunisell Group, an oil and gas servicing firm following the failure of
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt to survive relegation in the 2014/2015
season.
According the Communications Manager of the company, Mr Kunmi Balogun, the oil and gas firm has received 3 proposals requesting for shirt sponsorship from sports marketers representing different Nigerian Premiere League sides.
“Since the relegation of sharks, we have gotten more than 20 calls and emails requesting us to shift our support to other clubs in the NPL. As at today, we have 3 official proposals requesting for shirt sponsorship from us.” he said.
Although the company did not disclose the names of the clubs requesting for sponsorship, speculations are widespread that a new deal will be reached with one of the teams that finished top 6 in the 2014/2014 Season.
