No World Cup worries for Falconets

Falconets prolific striker, Chinwendu Ihezuo has said there is no cause for alarm following the side’s slim win against the Basetsana of South Africa.
The nation’s campaigners won 2-1 against the South Africans in Saturday’s 2016 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup Africa final round first fixture qualifying clash at the Abuja National Stadium.
Ihezuo said her side are on strong footing towards qualifying for the World Cup in Papua New Guinea despite the low margin 2-1 win.

“Of course, there is no cause for alarm as far as qualification for the 2016 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea is concerned.
“We missed lots of scoring chances in the first fixture but the good thing is that we ended up the winners.

“We need to work hard on our finishing to stand a good chance in the reverse fixture in South Africa.
“Once we are able to put up more efforts in our games we will have it quite easy right there in Johannesburg.
“Our chance for a spot at the World Cup is quite bright as the South Africans were not spectacular.”
“They were a bit lucky with the penalty but we will certainly beat them right there at their backyard to earn the World Cup ticket,” said the Delta Queens goal machine.
The decisive fixture holds in a fortnight at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa outside Johannesburg.
